On instant coffee

A colleauge of mine told me he only used instant coffee at home, and that his guests couldnt tell the difference.
However Im pretty sure thats not a sign of the superiority of instant coffee, more a sign that he makes a piss-poor cup of coffee, wether it being the ordnary or instant varity.

Just an average day at the office.

Right, so I was rudely woken by my cellphone. My Boss told me that he (who was not going to be in that day) had a call from a user - that the ERP system was not responding. So I got up early and rushed to the office where the raid controller in the oracle database server played that song we all dread. BEEP BEEEP BEEEEEEEP.
One dead system disk, and that on a mission critical server which has only one system disk because the raid broke 3 years ago, and one processor up in smoke so its running on 8 cylinders. To brighten my day further, the temperature has dropped from 12c to 2c from yesterday, we have had storm, snow and i just heard that the sea has risen to 190 cm over normal at the nearest coastline. On the upside im taking a few days holyday.
