MTB March Trail Bike

A yearly MTB race in a nearby town took place today, and the weather was almost perfect for it, so I went to take some photos.

Catlady - Woof woof.

Nice to see female MTB bikers, they can be spotted occationaly - but they are rare birds.

I think the guy on the back seat is vision impared, so its great that MTB's come in tandem versions.

The mildest winter in years, hardly any snow, and allthough most grown-up's agree that not having to clear the driveway is a bonus, quite a few kids I know have missed it. And then this easter has been filled with small snowshowers and promises of more to come, and last night it came. Not massive - but enough of the stuff to have fun with.

Dumb luck dejavue

I was reminded today to keep my eyes on the road while driving. And I am not proud of it, but I thought I'd remind you dear reader, in case you have forgotten it like I had.
(Oh and off cause it can also be attributed to the multitasking thing).

And yes, it is a car not a go cart, and no I couldn't just lift it up and place it back on the road by hand, but nothing bad happened and my Dell is OK.

Luckily there were no trees this time around. I was trying to find something on the backseat and only took my eyes off the road for a second.

I had a similar accident years back when I had just gotten my license. That time I had to spend some time at the hospital, this time around was nothing nearly as dramatic, lucky since I was driving my mother.

Oh well...

Busy day

I feel like boasting a little today. On the first day of the easter vacation I have polished all the windows in my house inside and out. I have been digging the entire vegitable patch and afterwards I had time left for a 3 mile run doing a little pulse training. So I am feeling a little worn out, and guess I'll have no trouble sleeping.

Men can't multitask

Got up a little late this morning so I was kind of in a hurry, which is why I (unwisely) desided to run upstairs after a sweater while brushing my teeth. Hindsight is 20/20 and I should have known that being a guy attempting to multitask, especially at that time of day would have an excellent chance of failure. Obviously I did stumble and poked myself in the right eye with my toothbrush - and not only did it hurt, but as a bonus I learned that toothpaste stings in the eyes (I am going to suggest to Multilever that they consider making a 'no tears' toothpaste for clumsy men).

And I must have poked at my brain during the toothbrush accident, because when I finally was ready to leave the house I spent a good minute looking for my keys before i discovered that I had them in my hand.

Luckely the rest of the day passed without any serious incidents.

Just heard some of the US presidential candidates comment on that piece of news on CNN: "Essential first step, but it is sadly insufficient in bringing freedom to Cuba", that: "There is still a long way towards human rights", "mark the end of a dark era in Cuba's history.", a need for: "The prompt release of all prisoners of conscience wrongly jailed"

Is this about Castro resigning or the closing of Gitmo?

Its kind of amazing what a little sunshine on a winters day can do for the general wellbeing of man as well as beast. This girl at least seems to liven up as much as I do.

And a little background.

Im a sinner

It's been raining all day, we've had about 100 millimetres worth up until now, its cold and the wind is blowing like its autumn already. I had to go buy a present for a soon to be ex-colleague, and was completely soaked walking from my car to the store.
So on arrival at my house after having noticed that the basement was still dry, I decided to open up a bottle of red wine (out of beer you see). I don't know what it is about wine, after half a bottle I get tipsy, silly and quite hmmm positive!

Watching Ugly Betty on the TV - hilarious! - Or maybe just better through a red wine filter?!

Ill probably delete this article once I sober up. People might get the wrong impression of me.

I was casually minding my own business, or rather my neighbours, as he had asked me to water some newly planted shrubbery (You must return here with a shrubbery... or else you will never pass through this wood... alive. - NININI) Aherm. When out from under the bushes came this rhinoceros beastly beauty. Kind of kewl huh?
