Day 3

just got home from work, we are having trouble uninstalling old software from the computers in an automated way. polish errormessages and windows interface does not make matters easier.
Also installation of automation clients fails. Not one PC has been transferred to the new domain yet. very dissapointing.
The accountant Alina offered me a hug, i needed that.

Day 2

Was picked up from the hotel at quarter to eight and arrived at the factory where we met the managing director, he was kind enough to show us around the production and offices. A lot has happened since I was last here. They are in the process of expanding, buildings for assembly lines and cold storage.

Not everything has been prepared as we had hoped, and the first half of my day was spent trying to fix a problem in the datacollecting server for the job and time registration, rather than preparing for the move this weekend. But that is about normal in these situations.

This evening i needed to unwind so back at the hotel i changed and went for a little run up the road, just a couple of miles, but they did me good.
Its apparant how this is place is changing, but still there is the smell of lignite in the air, and there are still roads and houses that look poor and neglected.

Now We wait for the others to arrive here at around eight, so we can get something to eat. Im getting hungry.

Day 1

We landed in Warzaw late afternoon, 2 hours drive to Kutno. Dozed off in the car, the last week or so has been busy, and I'm getting tired, my stomack hurts, I'm much to tense, just cant seem to relax .
Had a couple of beers with the guys at the hotel while going over the gameplan, I'll probably sleep ok tomight.
I am a little anxious for the week ahead.

This is A FACT!....

4- Redheads may be aliens
There’s a conspiracy theory that redheads are alien-human hybrids. Think about it: Why did several kings and queens of Europe have red hair even though, percentage-wise, redheads are fairly rare? Why do so many Southies have red hair and speak a different language than other Boston locals?

It sounds crazy, but carrottops do have biological differences other than appearance. Redheaded women bleed longer, which is why doctors make special preparations for them in childbirth. They also have the smallest hair count on their heads, about 90,000 as opposed to 140,000 on people with blond and brown hair. That’s why Kick a Ginger Day began, just to keep these possible aliens on their toes.

Monday, January 05, 2009

So its 2009 already!

First of all, I want to send everyone the very best wishes for the new year, may your worries be few and small and your blessings plentifull.

I really feel like I have nothing worth while to say these days, I have briefly considered taking a picture of my toe nail clippings just to at least post something, but my inner censor board voted against me.

The last couple of months have been kind of difficult, a mixture of missing and needing the sun to come out and brighten the days in any sense imaginable, and fighting the dragons/windmills at work. There's a long way yet but at least the days are getting longer and it wont be long before it's noticeable.

I was ill the week up to x-mas, longer really - but i had to stay in bed that week, and I had'nt even had time to buy any presents, so it was with a slight fever that I went shopping on the 23'th (we celebrate on the 24'th in denmark) and I did get some presents, but they were not as inspired as I would have liked. But we had a nice evening with dinner and dancing around the tree.

On the plus side I was all well again at new years evening, which I celebrated up north of copenhagen, a very nice and cosy time was had by all - "Hyggeligt" as we call it.
Next day we went for a walk with the kids just to enjoy the frost* - which I soon regetted, or rather the fact that I was wearing a pair of stupid summer shoes. But it was a beautiful day none the less.

Since then it has become January with the traditional clearing sales all over, which has actually better savings than ever this year (economic crisis and all), so I went to a hunting store and got me a pair of warm gore-tex boots, so now the winter can just come-on, i'm ready. - Allthough I discovered that they are rather big and not at all well suited for driving my tiny car, the pedals are quite close together and driving with a stick-shift clutch and all it was not pretty, hitting the brake and clutch at the same time followed by speder and gas simultaniously, thankfully there were not much other traffic at the time, but I did get the evil eye from a woman on a bicycle at a stoplight.

* I know that minus 2 to 6 degrees is nooothing to some of you, but to us its something (they promise -12 tonight).

Im not quirky! I have caracter and developed certain habits.

Doh

Its a quarter to 8 and i have only just had dinner. Got home late from work and while i prepared some grub, my neighbour interrupted, if I could drive him to his car in the woods 2 miles away.
He and his young son had been out running and he discovered to late, that he had a hole in the pocket of his pants - the key had fallen through..

So away we drove and when we got there, I drove along the path they had been running, it being October and with the leafes fallen, we didnt have high hopes, but just wanted to see if we could spot them along the first couple of hundred meters.

On the way back along the path he got out and I drove ever so slowly while he scanned for them. Then once we got to their starting point, he stopped and bended over. I thought perhaps he had found them, but he was fiddeling with his shoelaces it seemed - he wasnt.

Turned out he had just realized that his pants have elasticband at the ankles - and yes. his keys were caught there...

Im just so happy it wasnt me...

hehe

Retards - We all know one.

Presenting my cat. I think he might be a bit wierd.

I was emptying the rainwater reservoir for the winter, before I forget. And he played with the water for the entire 30 minutes it took to empty the barrel. Hope he doesnt get a cold - perhaps I should get some boots and a raincooat for him.

Too nerdy?

So, a neutron walked into a bar and said "I’d like a beer, please."

After the bartender gave him one, he said "How much will that be?"

"For you?" said the bartender "No charge."

Slightly stressfull

A collegue and I decided to go for a run after work this week, just as we have done before. So the other day we brought our running gear and changed at work before driving to the wood where we had planned to run.

And it was a great run, a fun trail with lots of small hills, trees, roots and stuff.

But when we got back to out cars we discovered that they had been broken into. The side windows was broken and our bags were gone from both cars.

So the last days I have had to close telephone and Visa, call the police to report it (even though I doubt they will do anything but type the report). Call the Insurance and report what was stolen how old it was and what it would cost to replace. Get the car to the shop for a new window and lots of other things.

Its just so irritating... And the knowledge that someone has my mobile with pics and text-messages (Bop doing the helicopter - No just kidding). My USB key with god knows which documents, pictures and music, personal notes to self, i hope there were no passwords or such - getting a bit ill just by the thought of it.

And today in my mailbox were my Visa and my social-security cards... No message no nothing. I am guessing that they were tossed out the car window by the thief and then found by someone who decided to deliver them, since the address was there. I would just like to have talked to that person to hear where they found it.
